Wanda Forrest, Transportation Planning Manager for the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization (NFTPO) will present the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Fiscal Years 2015/2016 through 2019/2020. This presentation increases public involvement in development of the TIP and inform the Commission as to projects planned and programmed for the area. Sponsored by Commissioner N. Sikes-Kline.

Discussion relevant to placement of a “Boat Basin” Marker, sponsored by the St. Augustine Archaeological Association. The informational marker would be identical to the ones currently used throughout the city and would be placed on the east corner of Avenida Menendez and King Street. This marker will articulate the importance and history of St. Augustine’s Boat Basin, built in the 1840’s in conjunction with the seawall. (Sponsored by Commissioner N. Sikes-Kline.) J. Consideration of Ordinance 2015-02, amending Section 28-2 Definitions, to provide a definition for a Special Event Venue; amending Sections 28-163 (RG-1), 28-165 (RGO), 28-167 (RGO-A), 28, 184 (HP-2), 28-185 (HP-3), 28-186 (HP-4), 28-207 (CL-2), 28-208 (CM-1), 28-209 (CM-2), placing the Special Event Venue use into zoning districts as a permissible use or a permissible use by exception; amending Section 28-347 Supplementary Regulations for Certain Uses, placing certain conditions on the Special Event Venue use; amending Section 28-373 Required off-street parking, creating street parking requirements for the Special Event Venue use.
